ECHS Srinagar Recruitment 2025: Contractual Medical Staff Vacancies – Eligibility, Salary & Application Process

The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), operating under the Ministry of Defence has announced a recruitment drive for Medical Officer and Nursing Assistant (General) positions at the ECHS Polyclinic in Srinagar. This recruitment will help to bolster healthcare services for ex-servicemen and their dependents in the region. The appointments is on contractual basis which is up to 31 March 2026 and there is a possibility of extension based on performance and availability of vacancies at the time of end of Contract. This opportunity is open to both ex-servicemen and civilians but ex-servicemen are preferred as per the reservation criteria.

Eligibility Criteria & Salary Details

Medical Officer
Candidates applying for the post Medical Officer position must have MBBS degree with minimum 5 years of post-internship experience. Additional qualifications in Medicine or Surgery are preferred and higher percentage in MBBS or postgraduate qualifications will be given preference. The fixed remuneration of ₹75,000 per month. The reservation is 60% for ex-servicemen and 40% for civilians.

Nursing Assistant (General)
Applicants for Nursing Assistant role must have completed a GNM Diploma or Class-I Nursing Assistant Course from Armed Forces with a minimum 5 years of experience. The selected candidate will receive a fixed remuneration of ₹28,100 per month. The reservation for this post is 70% for ex-servicemen and 30% for civilians.
